As a multi tasking woman, it’s essential for us to know and take care of ourselves in and out. Balancing requires few adjustments, compromises and sometimes sacrifices on our part to set the priorities right and only then we would be able to lead a balanced life.
Fatima Raheem has been happily married since five months – She is a PhD Scholar as well as PR and Advertising Manager, Cons & Mark (C&M). She had her fair share of struggles initially post marriage but resilience was her greatest strength to fight all odds and strike a chord between her personal and professional life.
It’s all about finding a basic comfort, love and support from family and friends where you can be yourself, without the fear of being judged and of course along with respect and understanding.
To be loved by so many people around us is just amazing and makes us feel special. In our life there are moments where we sit and think how am I standing here and that special moment is what makes us proud. The power of their affection is so strong that it makes us want to do more for them. They call it adversity, we call it opportunity, they call it weakness, we call it strength. That’s what we call real empowerment.
International Women’s day is to celebrate our achievements, accomplishments and to be what we are. Fighting all odds on our way here we are to bring a significant change with gender equality.
