New Horizon Business Conclave 2019” focusing on the theme “Innovation and Society”

New Horizon College Of Engineering: A one day intercollegiate management symposium “New Horizon Business Conclave 2019” focusing on the theme “ Innovation and Society” was organised by Dept of management studies on 12 th october, 2019. The forum brought together the personalities from industry and academia to discuss and share their thoughts on innovation contributing to the changing face of the society.

The event brought together policy makers, thinkers and opinion makers to discuss ways to solve India’s problem of rapid urbanization using “Social Innovation” to address developmental challenges faced by economies and societies all over the world; and to work with all our stakeholders through “Collaborative Creation”. Interactive panel discussions were held on topics including India’s Technology, Innovation and Societal landscape and how India’s businesses and enterprises can break the ice and make their mark in the competitive world market.

New Horizon College of Engineering strives to be an integral part of India’s growth story. Converging its core concepts – Social Innovation and Collaborative Creation, College aims to improve the lives of people in India.

The conclave had two panel discussions that provided a platform to come together to analyse innovation that impacting to a societal real-world scenarios, stimulate meaningful discussions and deliberate disruptive ideas. The conclave gave a golden opportunity to inquisitive minds to interact with and get inspired in reshaping the economy.

Overall the business conclave empowered the youth to ideate, create and implement comprehensive plans to bring tangible changes in the society.

The theme was Innovation and Society. It is a one day intercollegiate management symposium with two panel discussions. The chief guest was Ms Shefali Sonpar, Senior director Head insurance practices, UST Global and the conclave advisor was Mr Surya Prakash Mohapatra, Global Talent head, Wipro Digital operations and Transformations. The two panel discussions covered various aspects of two highly contemporary concepts, innovation and society. The panel discussion was followed by question and answer session. New Horizon Business Conclave -2019 was a convergence of both industry and academia under one roof.
