ICTMAE signs MOU to establish Centers of Excellence at GITAM Bengaluru

Memorandum of Understanding with Gandhi Institute of Technology And Management (GITAM), Bengaluru and International Council of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ICTMAE). Partnership paves way for a Centre of Excellence for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CEIIE) and integrated skill development on emerging technology.

Confederation of Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) and Centre of Excellence for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CEIIE) is unit of International Council of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering having its head office at Asaf Ali Road, Delhi -110002 and a registered corporation in Delaware USA International Council of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering Inc. to establish multiple Centers of Excellence across India.

The partnership paves the way for a Centre of Excellence for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CEIIE) and integrated skill development on emerging technology with core focus on Industry 4.0, Automation, Blockchain and Internet of Things (IOT) infrastructure. The COE will address diverse industry segments like Automotive, Industrial machinery, Industrial automation, Renewable Energy and BFSI and Retail.

International Council of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ICTMAE) is the execution partner for the several Centers of Excellence and will run the centers for the five years and continue to provide support to host institutions.

CEIIEs are promoted to achieve the following objectives:

  • Creation of technology based new enterprises
  • Creating value added jobs & services
  • Facilitating transfer of technology
  • Fostering the entrepreneurial spirit
  • Speedy commercialization of R&D output
  • Specialized services to existing SMEs
  • Meet a huge unmet need of industry and the society at large that can be met through capacity and capability development
  • Nurture experts who are skilled and trained on state of art technologies
  • Have a long term focus in building competitiveness in the centre and in their stakeholders.

Prof. P. V. Sivapullaiah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Gandhi Institute of Technology And Management (GITAM), present on the day of agreement signing, said, “We aim to build sustainable communities by leveraging Student & Startups innovation; technology competencies and solutions. The collaboration aims to train students on relevant industry processes and help create industry-ready trained personnel along with entrepreneurship culture. This industry-readiness and relevance of skills is expected to foster further industrial development in the state.”

The COEs are unique in their ability as they anticipate being able to stitch together the virtual world of engineering and manufacturing simulation with the physical world of product development, manufacturing and the Internet of things (IoT). They will also feature state-of-the-art on Cloud Infrastructure for Cyber Security, Industry 4.0, blockchain, AI/ML and IoT.
