Atal Tinkering Lab, NITI-Aayog

The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI-Aayog) the erstwhile Planning Commission of India under the scheme of Indian Government called Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Labs in Schools across India to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; & inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing, etc. Dr. Hafeez Basha, Vice President, Station-H was appointed as observer and mentor of change for the Atal Tinkering Lab of The Secunderabad Public School. He is arranging Guest Lectures by Scientists from CSIR, DRDO, ICRISAT and Institutions from India and abroad.

Mr. Subramanyam Garlapati who teaches maths is given the responsibility of the Lab who is assisted by specially appointed Mr. Venu Charan Rao Nandipally a graduate in Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Through this Lab the students are getting opportunity to explore latest technologies with support from Principal Mrs. Sujata Javvadhi and Directors Mr. Augustine M. Mathew and Mrs. Kavita Executive Member of Station-H Mr. Amit Kapoor, Associate Director, Cigniti Tech-nologies Ltd. was selected as Jury member for the highly acclaimed 2018 DMA Asia ECHO Awards, the Asia edition of the International ECHO™ Awards that honours world’s best direct marketing campaigns and sets high watermark for data driven creativity, strategy and results.
