Business Analytics and Blockchain Conclave at SPM, Gandhinagar
The Business Analytics and Teaching Lab Committee of School of Petroleum Management organized a BUSINESS ANALYTICS & BLOCKCHAIN CONCLAVE for the students for a detailed discussion on the blockchain usage nowadays in various fields and industry and the importance it holds for future development. The whole conclave was divided into 2 themes focusing on- Empowering Organizations Through Business Analytics and The Blockchain Revolution: Leveraging AI for Transforming Business. The Dean, Director-general and the Chairperson of SPM addressed the delegates from the industry and warmly welcomed them.
Dr. Sudhir Yadav, chairperson addressed the guests and Dr. Pramod Paliwal, Dean- SPM PDPU, Dr. Pestonjee, GSPL Chairperson and Dr. Gopalkrishnan, Director-General- PDPU gave an insightful start to the business analytics and blockchain conclave by lightening the lamp and addressing the guests. An environment of learning has been created which proved to be a successful start of the event.
TRACK1:
Track 1 of the conclave was focused on “EMPOWERING ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH BUSINESS ANALYTICS” for which speakers like Mr. Savio Fernandez – Partner, Stratacon Business Advisors LLP, Ms. Yesha Goyal – Business Consultant, Intuz, Mr. Shubhasish Biswas – CEO and Head of Asia Pacific, APOS and Mr. Dheeraj Pandey – AVP, EXL Services presented their viewpoint and expertise in the field from their own corporate experience. They explained how data analysis is helping the organization in all the departments and will continue to in future in respect to the regulations, the new way of doing business in which business analytics and blockchain is the hero and the role of a business analysts in the organization which is not only limited to the data handling but it is from the pre-sales till the post-sales stage of the project. Also, they showed the important key factors for the usage of business analytics in an organization which is- the right people, the right strategy, the right data, and the right resources.
TRACK2:
Track 2 of the event was focused on the following thing from the track 1- The Blockchain Revolution: Leveraging AI for Transforming Business where the linkage between AI and BLOCKCHAIN and the important role it plays in development of the business was discussed by speakers like Mr. Niraj Shah – Entrepreneur, Mentor, Owner Arihant Satiate, Mr. Satyen Jadeja – A. Director-Banking & Financial service, IBM, India, Mr. Santosh G – Director, International Council of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering and Mr. Mayur Pabari – Founder & CEO, SmartSense Consulting Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Track 2 also mentioned that blockchain is an immutable system which is difficult to change with major three characteristics which are publicly verifiable, transparency and integrity also, be it procurement, automobile, sales or even in finance it can be used from the start till the end using smart portals, binding contracts and AI-controlled system. The business analytics and blockchain conclave proved why it is so much in demand in every industry and the future scope it holds.
